A safe route is the everyday route, like the school run, watched on its days and hours. You don’t draw anything: you pick a trip the person has already taken, and LeMoove uses that route as the reference.
Before you start
- Safe routes are part of the Basic and Complete plans, with up to 10 routes per person.
- The person needs to be in a group with you, or the vehicle needs a tracker you can see.
- They need to have taken the route in the last 7 days, with “Keep my trips” on.
1. Open safe routes
Open your Profile and tap Safe routes. The first time, the app shows a How it works. Then tap Create safe route.
2. Choose who takes the route
Under Whose route is it?, choose a family member or a tracker. If an alert has to go out, it goes to you.
3. Pick the trip
Under Which trip is the route?, the app lists the trips from the last 7 days. Tap the one that shows the usual way.
Shortcut: at the bottom of any trip’s map, on its card, tap Use as a safe route.
4. Set a name, the days and the hours
- Under Name, type something like “School run”.
- Check the Days and Time. The app suggests them from the trip’s day and time.
- Read the How it will work summary: it shows, with the real names and times, what will happen.
- Tap Save route.
What happens during the window
- If the route is left, the person on it gets Are you okay? on their phone. With no answer in 5 minutes, you get the alert.
- If the arrival runs late, up to 15 minutes after the window ends, the same question goes to the person, and the alert goes to you if they don’t answer.
- On a tracker, there’s no question: the alert goes to you right away.
- On a holiday far from home, nothing happens: the day only counts once the person passes the start of the route.
The person on the route doesn’t see the route or the hours. They only get the question when something seems off.
Change, pause or delete
Open Profile › Safe routes. Each route shows how the day is going: Watching now, On the way, Arrived today or Alert sent today. Tap it to change the name, days and hours, turn off Watch this route to pause it, or tap Delete route.
If something doesn’t work
- No trips to choose from: the person hasn’t taken the route in the last 7 days, or turned off “Keep my trips”. Come back after they’ve made the trip.
- The option isn’t there: safe routes are part of the Basic and Complete plans. See the plans.
