LeMoove’s SOS button sends a help request, with your location, battery and speed, to the people in your groups. It’s worth learning the way there before you need it.
LeMoove doesn’t replace emergency services. If you’re in danger, call your local emergency number.
Before you start
- SOS is available on every plan, including Free.
- You need to be in at least one group with other people.
- Location must be allowed.
1. Choose who gets it
By default, all your groups get your SOS. To change that, open your Profile and, under Privacy and safety, tap Who gets my SOS.
- Each group has a switch. When it’s on, the people in that group get your SOS.
- Turn off groups that aren’t family, like work or college, if you prefer.
- Anyone in more than one group gets it if at least one of those groups is on.
- At the bottom, the screen shows how many people would get your SOS right now.
Do this calmly, before you need it: nobody sets anything up during the countdown.
2. Tap SOS
On the main screen, tap the red SOS button at the top of the map’s left column. An emergency screen opens with a 10-second countdown.
3. Wait or cancel
- To send: wait for the countdown to end. The request goes out on its own.
- If it was an accident: tap Cancel before the countdown ends. Nothing is sent.
After it’s sent
The screen becomes the Help request active screen, with when it started, your position on the map, your battery and your speed. From there you can:
- tap Send my location now to send a fresh position whenever you want;
- tap I’m safe when you’re OK: everyone who got the request is told;
- tap Cancel alert and confirm, if it was a mistake.
The people who get your SOS:
- get an emergency notification and, in their conversation with you, the SOS Emergency Alert message with your location and approximate address;
- open the help request, which updates on its own with the last position, battery and speed;
- can tap Get directions to reach you with their maps app, or Open chat to talk to you;
- see Closed: safe when you tap I’m safe.

Prepare your family ahead of time
- Show everyone in the family where the SOS button is, especially children and older relatives.
- Agree on what to do when an SOS arrives: call the person, go to them, call emergency services.
If something doesn’t work
- Nobody received it: check that you’re in a group with other people, that the group is on in Who gets my SOS and that your phone has internet.
- “Nobody would get your SOS right now”: turn on at least one group in Who gets my SOS, or invite people to your groups.
- Your location didn’t go with it: check that location is allowed for LeMoove in your phone’s settings.
