How to create a group and invite your family with an invite code

On LeMoove, people see each other on the map when they’re in the same group. You can have one group for family, another for friends and another for work. This guide shows how to create a group and invite people.

Before you start

• Have the app installed and your account created (see Getting started with LeMoove).
• The Free plan allows 1 group. Basic and Complete have unlimited groups. See the plans.

1. Create the group

1. Open your Profile and tap My Groups.
2. Tap the Create Group button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Under What kind of group is this?, choose Family, Friends, Work, College or Other. The type only changes how the group looks in the app.
4. Under Group Name, choose a name that’s easy to recognize, like “The Smiths”.
5. Tap Create Group.

You become the group’s admin. Only the admin can share the invite, remove members and delete the group.

2. Get the invite code

1. In My Groups, on the group’s card, tap Share. Another way: on the map, tap the group name at the top, then Share this Group.
2. The Invite Code screen opens on the QR code tab: someone next to you just needs to point their phone camera at it.
3. The Code tab has the group’s code. Tap the code to copy it.

The invite stays active for 2 days, and the screen shows until when: “This invite is valid until…”. After that, just get a new one the same way.

3. Send the invite to your family

Tap Share invite to send it by WhatsApp, text or email. The message carries the link and the code. Or simply read the code aloud to whoever is nearby.

Each person needs to:

1. Install LeMoove on their own phone.
2. Join the group with the link, the QR code or the code (see How to join a group with an invite code).
3. Allow location access.

Without these three steps, the person doesn’t appear on the map. That’s how nobody is followed without knowing it.

4. Check who joined

In My Groups, each group shows how many members it has. On the map, everyone who joined and allowed location appears with their photo or initials.

If something doesn’t work

• “Only the group admin can share the invite”: ask whoever created the group to share the code.
• “Invalid invite code”: the code may have expired (it lasts 2 days) or been mistyped. Get a new one.
• I can’t create another group: the Free plan allows 1 group. Paid plans have unlimited groups.
• The person joined but doesn’t appear on the map: they need to allow location on their phone, ideally as “Always”.
