How the driving went, in numbers

The driver's phone measures every car trip. The report brings the day's or week's trips together in a 0–100 score and shows what weighed on it.

How it works

  1. The phone notices the trip

LeMoove identifies when the person is in a car.

  2. Events are measured

Hard acceleration, braking and cornering, speeding, and phone use while the car is moving.

  3. The score is calculated

Events become a rate per 100 km, and the rate becomes a 0–100 score, with each category weighted.

What goes into the score

Phone use and speeding weigh more than a sharp turn, because they're the driver's choices, not a result of traffic.

  • Speeding

    Stretches above a suitable speed.

  • Harsh acceleration

    Hard starts.

  • Harsh braking

Hard stops, often a sign of following too closely.

  • Harsh cornering

    Turns taken too fast.

  • Phone use

The phone being used while the car is moving.

  • Day and week

Look at a single day or compare weeks. The weekly view is on the Complete plan.

Events per 100 km driven

Very short trips aren't enough for a reliable score: the calculation needs a minimum distance so a single event doesn't sink the result.

Questions about the report

Do I need a tracker in the car to get the report?

No. The driving report comes from the driver's phone. A tracker is for seeing the car on the map even when nobody from the group is in it.

What if I'm a passenger?

A passenger's phone also records the car trip. Check the report of whoever was driving to assess the driving.

Is the score the same as my car insurance score?

No. It's a LeMoove score, made for families to follow driving. It has nothing to do with insurers.
