LeMoove’s automatic alerts tell you when something happens with the people you follow: a trip started or ended, they went over the speed limit, their battery is running low, they’ve been still for a long time, they stopped sending their location, or they got close to you.
Before you start
- Automatic alerts are part of the Basic and Complete plans. On the Free plan, the screen shows “Inactive on the free plan”. See the plans.
- Place arrival and departure alerts work on every plan and are set up in place alerts.
1. Open alerts
Open your Profile and tap Alerts & Notifications. The screen has two tabs:
- People: choose what to know about each person.
- History: the alerts you’ve already received.
2. Choose the person
On the People tab, tap the person. Each person has their own alerts: you might want your newly licensed teen’s speed and your grandmother’s battery.
3. Turn on what you want to know
In the What you want to know section, turn on the alerts you want, or tap Turn all on:
| Alert | When it notifies | Setting |
|---|---|---|
| Trip start | When the person starts moving | — |
| Trip end | When they arrive, with distance and duration | — |
| Driving behavior | Harsh braking and acceleration | — |
| High speed | Above the limit you choose | 30–200 km/h (suggested: 110) |
| Battery level | Below the level you choose | 5%–90% (suggested: 20%) |
| Inactivity | Still in the same place for a long time | 30 min–24 h (suggested: 3 h) |
| No location | No position sent for a long time | 1–24 h (suggested: 6 h) |
| Proximity | When they get close to where you are | 100 m–5 km (suggested: 500 m) |
4. Decide when not to notify
In the When not to notify section:
- Quiet hours: choose a start and an end. During that window, alerts stay in the history only, without ringing your phone.
- Mute 8 h: for a quick break, like a meeting or a night’s sleep. Tap Unmute to turn alerts back on sooner.
Nothing is lost: everything that happened during quiet time shows up on the History tab.
5. See the alerts you received
On the map, the Alert history button takes you straight to the list. Tap an alert to see when, where and the measurement (for example, the speed), open the place on the map or adjust that person’s alerts.
Tips to avoid alert overload
- Start with trip end and battery level. Turn on others as you need them.
- Use realistic limits: a speed limit that’s too low fires on every highway.
- Set nighttime quiet hours.
If something doesn’t work
- “Alerts are part of the paid plans”: tap Unlock to see the plans.
- “Person unavailable”: you no longer share a group, so there are no alerts to set up.
- The alert didn’t arrive: check that LeMoove notifications are on on your phone and that you’re not in quiet hours.
