Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LeMoove ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the LeMoove Service (a mobile phone tracking and location-sharing app).
Important: Location information is sensitive. You should only share or view another person’s location when you have their knowledge and legally valid consent.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service and the permissions you grant, we may collect:
- Account information: such as name, email, phone number, profile photo, and group/family details you provide.
- Location information: precise and/or approximate location. This may include location collected while the app is in use (foreground) and, if enabled, when the app is not in use (background). Location collection depends on your device settings and permissions.
- Device and usage information: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, identifiers permitted by the platform, and information about how you interact with the Service.
- Diagnostics: crash logs, performance metrics, and error reports to help us fix issues and improve reliability.
- Content you share: for example, invitations, group join codes, and messages (if the feature is available in your version of the Service).
- Purchase and subscription information: we may receive information from Apple/Google such as subscription status, entitlement state, renewal date, and purchase receipt/token identifiers so we can provide Premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details from the app stores.
2. How We Use Information
We use information for purposes such as:
- Providing core functionality: enabling location sharing, device/location updates, group/family coordination, and map-based features.
- Account and customer support: creating and maintaining accounts, responding to requests, and troubleshooting.
- Subscriptions: verifying purchases, enabling Premium features, and preventing fraud/abuse related to billing.
- Safety and security: protecting users and the Service, detecting suspicious activity, and enforcing our Terms.
- Improvement and analytics: understanding usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and features.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information as follows:
- With other users you choose: if you join a group/family and enable location sharing, your location and related profile info may be visible to other members according to your settings and the group’s configuration.
- With service providers: vendors that help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, databases, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, and push notifications). They are permitted to process information only on our instructions and for the purposes we describe.
- With app store/platform providers: Apple and Google process purchases and may provide us with limited purchase/subscription data to confirm entitlement.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, to comply with legal processes, or to protect rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Your Controls and Choices
- Location permissions: you can allow or deny location access (including background access) in your device settings. If you disable location permissions, some features may not work.
- Battery: features like background location updates may increase battery usage. You can adjust permissions and settings to reduce battery impact.
- Stop sharing: depending on app features, you may be able to pause/stop location sharing, leave groups, or remove members.
- Account actions: you may update certain profile information in the app. You may request account deletion by contacting us at the email below, subject to legal and operational requirements.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the data type (for example, account data, location history if enabled, diagnostics, and security logs).
6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by children without appropriate consent and supervision, as required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when changes became effective.
